After setting your wedding date, you should contact me as soon as possible, to confirm that I am available on that date, time and place to conduct the ceremony.

As your celebrant I will process your certificates of presentation to Births, Deaths and Marriages and provide you with your certificate of marriage. I will attend one pre-wedding ceremony meeting, where I can help you and your partner design a ceremony according to your needs and wishes.

On your special day I will conduct your wedding ceremony. I can offer you years of experience and advice which makes your wedding ceremony successful on your special day.

What is the cost?

$390.00 - Please Note: a $50 deposit is required.

2.  I will supply you with a Notice of Intended Marriage or you can download one from the Attorney General Marriage Celebrant Section

3.  Forward the completed Notice of Intended Marriage and relevant legal documents to me

4.  I prefer to meet with you a day or two before the wedding day.

5. I will confirm your identity and we will check and sign any outstanding legal documents.

6. I will conduct your ceremony and the bride and groom exchange the marriage vows of their choice.

7. Two witnesses are required to sign the marriage certificates.

8. The bride and groom are presented with their marriage certificate.

The Ceremony

Your wedding should be something special to you both. A civil wedding allows flexibility to celebrate a special day, making your dreams and visions come true.

Working together, your ceremony can be individual and personal to you both by incorporating your own
ideas and wishes in your ceremony. You may like to write your own vows, select the music and readings, choose who is to participate and in what role.

Your wedding can be held where ever you like - A Favourite Place - Gardens - The Beach.
Your ceremony can be indoors or outdoors.  It is completely your decision.

There is no restriction as to the time of your wedding - from dawn to dusk, from sunset to sun rise.

Different couples have different requirements.  The no frills option is available to those who desire a simple short legally binding marriage ceremony.

Why get married in the Government Registry Office when you can choose your own location and be surrounded by as many friends and family as you wish!

There's only one rule, that your marriage takes place in Australia or in Australian territorial waters.

Legal Information

If you were born in Australia you will need to produce an original copy of your birth certificate.  This can be obtained at the Registry Office of your state of birth.

If you were born overseas you will need your birth certificate or a current passport. If these documents are in a language other than English, you will need a certified translation of the documents.

If you are widowed you will also need the death certificate which can be obtained from the State Registry in the state where the death was registered.

If either partner was previously divorced, a copy of the decree absolute can be obtained from the Family Law Court in the state where the marriage was dissolved.

For marriages dissolved before 1975, a copy of the decree absolute can be obtained from the Supreme Court in the state where the marriage was dissolved.
